DOLL MAKING WORKSHOPS in London and Online

I run various short doll making courses, usually over two days with some homework in between.

You could join a small group workshop in East London,  host a workshop at home with friends or try a one to one session.

Examples of dolls from workshops are shown here, mostly by first time doll makers. They have been made by fathers, mothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. Some dolls are kept, some given to children yet to be born, older people with alzheimers have appreciated them as memory aids, the reasons to make are as many and various as the dolls themselves.

Upcoming Workshops

All levels are welcome, from beginner to experienced. Complete novices are actively encouraged, I love to show people what they did not know they could do. We will be a small, well supported group.

Handwork slows you down and brings you into the here and now, allowing your body and intellect to work together. Enjoy the creative journey and celebrate the perfectly imperfect!

Some comments from participants

The workshop was invaluable for all their attention and the benefit of their expertise and enabled me to make a doll that I know my daughter will love and cherish. The atmosphere was lovely and supportive and the two days very enjoyable.

Donna

The workshop was really inspiring and the instructions and clear step by step explanations. I can’t wait to start a new doll for testing my memory and specially your experienced tips!!. You and Sevim were very tuned together and warm towards all of us and the structure and the progress of the two sessions were in a very pleasant pace.

Mita

Thank you once again for your guidance during the wonderful workshop – I really enjoyed it. Joe (my son) has been a hard task master but his sky fairy is now complete and to his satisfaction!
